During my research, I discovered an article that discussed an advocate's use of the grid for page structure. I like the poster. I learnt a lot about the history of design, especially the rule of restriction that governed the past generation of typographers and designers. There is a beautiful composition in witch is Müller-Brockmann uses landscape and portrait orientation for the title. It is dynamic but strikes a comfortable balance at the same time. On the other hand, you can see the evidence of his process from the layout of lines to direct the end outcome. The hierarchy works with the use of space between the letters.
In my opinion, the book ( Grid systems in Graphic Design) provides an in-depth analysis of his work practices and philosophies. It also provides an excellent foundation for young graphic designers wishing to learn more about the basics of the profession. These techniques I have learnt from this particular designer will be helpful when doing publication on design, typography, general design layout and posters.
